Annual General Membership Meeting/Election

The Annual Membership Meeting of the Blues Society of Western Pennsylvania (BSWPA) will be held on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 7pm at Moondog's, 378 Freeport Road, Blawnox PA.

All members are encouraged to attend. Light fare will be provided and Blues Night Out will follow the Meeting featuring Mike Zito (cover required).

This meeting shall include the election of BSWPA officers for the June 2018 through May 2019 fiscal year. Offices subject to election include President, Vice President, Membership Secretary, Recording Secretary, and Treasurer.

The Nominating Committee of the BSWPA, through its Chairman, Terry O'Brien, will be accepting nominations for each office through Sunday, May 13, 2018. Nominations must be submitted to Terry in writing at 553 Sloan Hill Road, Templeton PA 15241 or via email at to1@comcast.net.

All nominations must include the name, address, and phone number as well as a written or emailed acknowledgement from the nominee that he or she is willing to accept the nomination. Please note that per BSWPA Bylaws, only those who have been BSWPA members in good standing for at least one (1) year preceding May 18, 2018 are eligible to serve as BSWPA officers.

Also the BSWPA has a few vacancies on its Board of Directors, and is interested in filling these positions with qualified, energetic, and motivated individuals. Board members are expected to attend bi-monthly meetings, volunteer to assist with events, work on committees, help to secure donations and sponsorships, and generally contribute to the mission of the BSWPA.
