'Baby It's Cold Outside'...but the blues will be heating things up!!!

Dear Blues Family,

It is that special time of year. Snowflakes are beginning to fall.

There is more than a chill in the air.

Things will be heating up the cold winter season!!!

• The Blues newsletter will be out shortly. Blues news that you can use will be coming your way!

• Blues Christmas party on Saturday, December 17 Moondog’s, Blawnox, PA

On the agenda that night….

*Blues members are asked to attend the annual general meeting at 6:30 pm. A valid blues membership card will give you entry into the back room of Moondog’s.

*Light fare will be served after the meeting. Members are asked to bring some desserts or snacks if possible.

*The music will begin at 8 pm. Pierce Dipner, the BSWPA’s 2017 International Youth Showcase representative, will open the evening and share his Blues with the blues family. Pierce will attend the 2017 International Blues Challenge in Memphis in February and will participate in the Youth Showcase.

*Award winning, Chicago Bluesman, sizzling guitarist Nick Moss will headline the evening.

The blues members will not be charged for the meeting.

However, there will be a cover for the show that will be shared with the public. $14 at door for public. $12 in at advance via Moondog’s $10 Blues members

***Nonperishable food items will be collected on behalf of the Salvation Army to help those in need in our community.***

• New Year’s Eve Blues Bash 2017….

It is with pleasure that the annual New Year’s Eve Blues Bash that the Blues Society of Western PA is just a few tickets of being sold out.

Yowsa! Jp Soars and Bubs McKeg on the same stage. It’s going to be a bluesin good time. (Thank you Santa for sending Jp and the boys up from Florida!)

The show gets better each and every year. We thank the blues family for joining us and making this event possible!

• 2017 Blues Society of Western PA’s Blues Challenge Saturday, April 29 Cornerstone at Tonidale Oakdale, PA

Slots are filling as the entries accept ‘our’ challenge.

An after party will be at the Pub at Tonidale (adjoining venue)…10 pm...Featuring the 2016 BSWPA Band Challenge winner….The Jimmy Adler Band.
