About the event
Harptoberfest, the popular annual event sponsored by the Blues Society of Western Pennsylvania, returns for a sixth time with an incredible line-up of talented Harmonica players all backed by an all-star backing band!
Let's start with the featured Harp Players:
First up is Hernan Brizuela, a multi-instrumentalist proficient on the Harmonica, Saxophone, and Bag Pipes. (Don't worry, Hernan has traded in his pipes for the harp ...) Hernan has been playing with multiple bands in the Pittsburgh region for several years, and continually finds a way to please audiences with his skills on the Harmonica as well as the Saxophone. This will be Hernan's first appearance at a Harptoberfest event, but hopefully NOT the last!
Next in line is Pittsburgh's own Johnny Rooster. Though Rooster has put his band on hiatus in recent years so he can pursue his love of Motocross racing, that hasn't diminished his passion for Blues…
