Harptoberfest is BACK and better than ever! Harptoberfest is a Blues Harmonica showcase featuring some of Western PA's best Harmonica players, this annual event has been a true crowd-pleaser since the very first one was held back in 2015, and it just keeps getting better! First of all, this year's Harptoberfest 2021 returns to where it started, and will be one of the first events to be held in the newly remodeled Moondog's Pub in Blawnox, PA! We're excited to be a part of this momentous occasion marking the return of one of Pittsburgh's favorite venues for Live Blues!
We're pleased to announce the return of two very talented Harmonica performers from the region; world class Jazz Harmonica player, Clint Hoover - a transplant from the Twin Cities, and rocker Ron Yarosz from Erie, PA.
After the necessary hiatus in 2020, Harptoberfest is thrilled to be able to bring in the first national act, (hopefully the first of many ...) Mr. John Long from St Louis, MO! With a long, impressive resume in the Blues world, John is a master on Blues Guitar, Harmonica, and Vocals. For more info on John Long: https://www.facebook.com/groups/249736216235
This year's stellar house band, as always, will be lead by Pittsburgh favorite, Jimmy Adler, and will feature John "The Junkman" Burgh on Keyboards, Mike Law on Upright Bass (fresh off his tour with The Kim Wilson Blues All-Stars), and returning to the 'Burgh, Gordon Grottenthaler on the Drums.
Getting things kicked off, and your emcee for the evening, Charlie Barath will be in the house as well. Mark your calendars, and stay tuned for more details as they develop, and thank you for supporting this BSWPA event!
